AirVenture Seaplane Base

The diversity of aircraft that can be found at EAA AirVenture is incredible. Everything from vintage warbirds to the latest business jets can be seen. One corner of the event hosts the seaplane genre of aircraft in a dedicated portion of Lake Winnebago known as the Oshkosh seaplane base.  This trip will be my 4th to Oshkosh, and I’m embarrased to admit that I have yet to visit this unique aspect of AirVenture.  I plan to rectify that this year by making it a point to see what it is all about.  I hope there are a few de Havilland Beavers present as I would love to experience the sound of a WASP radial engine first-hand.
