Cessna acquires Columbia Aircraft

Some of the biggest news out of the aviation community in quite some time comes out of Bend, Oregon with the announcement that Cessna has won the auction of Columbia Aircraft Manufacturing by default for 26.9 Million. This comes as great news to fans and owners of current Columbia aircraft. Cessna made it clear from the beginning that they intended to maintain status quo by continuing production of new 350s and 400s and also upholding warranties of current aircraft. Check out Aero-News for more information…

[EDIT]It appears that Cessna has released an official Public Release regarding the acquisition of CAM. What I find most interesting is the fact that the Columbia 400 and 350 will now become Cessna 350 and Cessna 400.
